A Greek Recipe for Romance (2024): The hard working Assistant Manager at an upscale Manhattan hotel, Abby Dolan not only doesn’t get the promotion she was expecting, but is laid off in a downsizing exercise.

With time on her hands while she decides her next move, she visits her long widowed mother Jackie who moved to the Greek island of Syros two years ago, there where she continued her real estate business and met her current Greek boyfriend Yannis.

In Syros, Abby continually encounters a young local named Theo Christodopoulos, recently arrived back on the island after three years in Paris studying at the Cordon Bleu.

Most of their encounters are antagonistic, but paired by Jackie’s assistant Cassia, Abby and Theo decide to work together in Theo wanting to open a restaurant in a location that his long deceased mother had a restaurant, she who instilled in him that love of cooking.

Abby learns that she is in line for a job with the hotel’s expansion that includes food service which Abby has no experience in, while Theo ultimately admits he could use some help on the business and customer service side of the endeavor.

As the two start to fall for each other, hurdles, beyond her life back in New York and the potentially getting this promotion, are a secret that Theo is keeping: that he is really Theo Pappas (Christodopoulos his mother’s maiden name), the son of one of the richest businessmen in Greece, Nikolas Pappas, who seemingly will do anything to bring Theo back to Athens ultimately to take over his business empire.

Love and Jane (2024): Lilly Thorpe is in a rut and at a crossroads in her life. She works as a copywriter at a Boston ad agency, a job she doesn’t much like, especially in that her dream would be to finish her novel on which she’s long stopped working. The president of the Jane Society, as in Jane Austen, she has been informed by Mr. Whitcomb, the owner of the English pub where they hold their meetings for free, that he is retiring and thus selling, meaning that she has to find somewhere else appropriate to hold their meetings at an affordable price. She has long talked about going to England to do a Jane tour, but one thing or another has always stopped her. And while she would like to find her proverbial “Mr. Darcy”, she doesn’t want him to be her savior, she turning down the marriage proposal of her current boyfriend Martin, he offering her a life in Chicago as that savior. Her friend and coworker Alisha, who is having her own man problems in feeling pressured by her family to get married despite not having that man, believes their coworker Brennan is interested in Lilly, he being someone that Lilly would not even entertain as a romantic partner, while the latest man to enter her life is the rude new clerk at her favorite local bookstore. Part of what Lilly loves about Jane, beyond the romantic nature of her novels, is that she has an answer for most of life’s problems. So in wanting Jane to provide her answers to her life’s problems, Lilly is nonetheless surprised when the spirit of Jane enters her life. While Jane has to update her two hundred year old thoughts to Lilly’s twenty-first century world, Lilly has to deal with the agency’s newest client, Trevor Fitzsimmons, the rude bookstore clerk who is really its new owner and a tech giant who wants to market the bookstore to link to his online world, which is somewhat against Lilly’s sensibilities.

Movie News: What To Expect From Avatar 2 – Avatar 2 will be the first of four planned sequels to James Cameron’s 2009 hit movie Avatar – here’s everything you need to know about the film.

James Cameron is at work on Avatar 2, and here’s what you need to know about the sequel, including its release date and what’s been revealed of its story so far. Cameron smashed his own box office record with 2009’s Avatar, which replaced Titanic as the highest grossing movie of all time as it went on it take over $2.7 billion worldwide, holding its crown until 2019’s Avengers: Endgame. Now the director is out to beat it once again, with several Avatar sequels in the works.

Avatar itself had a fairly self-contained story, with the human threat defeated and Jake Sully (Sam Worthington) permanently transferred into his avatar body, allowing him to remain with Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) and the other Na’vi on Pandora. It gave the movie a happy ending and closure to Jake and Neytiri’s arcs, but Cameron’s world-building meant that there was always potential for more movies set in this world.

Talk of an Avatar 2 has been happening since the first movie released, although progress has been slow for a variety of reasons, ranging from taking time to get the story right, to developing new technology as Cameron aims to once again massively push advancements in that area. The film is finally happening though, so here’s what to know about Avatar 2.

Avatar 2 Is Happening (Along With 3 Other Sequels)

As a director, James Cameron isn’t one to do things the easy way, and so it proves with Avatar, as he’s working on four sequels in total. Avatar 2 is well underway, with filming having already completed on the picture, and it’ll be followed by Avatar 3, which was scheduled to film back-to-back with the movie. After that, while plans could feasibly change slightly if those movies aren’t big successes, Avatar 4 and Avatar 5 are already planned to happen.

Avatar 2 Release Date

The Avatar sequels have been delayed several times, with Avatar 2 first touted for a 2014 release before it was pushed back time and again to allow for development of the other sequels, new technology, and, of course, coronavirus-related schedule reshuffling. As it stands, though still possibly subject to change if cinemas take even longer to get back to normal, Avatar 2’s release date is December 16, 2022. It’ll be followed by Avatar 3 on December 20, 2024, Avatar 4 on December 18, 2026, and finally Avatar 5 on December 22, 2028, giving the franchise a hold on the Christmas market throughout the next decade.

Avatar 2 Cast

Most of the cast from the first Avatar will be returning in Avatar 2, with the sequel once again set to be led by Sam Worthington’s Jake and Zoe Saldana’s Neytiri, while CCH Pounder will be back as Mo’rat, Neytiri’s mother. On the human front, Giovanni Ribisi will reprise his role as Parker Selfridge, and Joel David Moore will once again play Dr. Norm Spellman. Perhaps most intriguingly in terms of familiar faces will be Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang. Weaver is confirmed to return, but has said she’ll be playing a different character from Dr. Grace Augustine, with set photos suggesting she may be a Na’vi. Meanwhile, Lang’s Colonel Miles Quaritch will also be back despite dying in the first film, though how remains to be seen.

There are also several new additions to the Avatar 2 cast: Kate Winslet will reunite with James Cameron to play a Na’vi called Ronal; Edie Falco plays General Ardmore of the RDA; Jermaine Clement will appear as a marine biologist; and Oona Chaplin and Vin Diesel have been cast in mystery roles.

Avatar 2 Story Details

Understandably, James Cameron’s first Avatar sequel still has much of its story under wraps, but some details have already emerged. Avatar 2 will take place several years after the events of the first movie, following Jake and Neytiri as they have a family, which will be a dominant theme throughout the sequels. The film is also expected to explore much more of Pandora than before, not least because of the new underwater mo-cap technology Cameron has developed for Avatar 2, which means the sequel will be going into the depths of the world’s oceans as well as covering its land. With Lang’s Quaritch back, meanwhile, it’s likely that he’ll once again serve as the main villain for Jake and Neytiri to deal with, as they look to protect their family from the threat he poses.
