Chelsea forward, Ike Ugbo, has begun the process of switching his international allegiance from England to Nigeria.
Ugbo was born in England and has represented the Three Lions at both the U-17 and U-20 levels, scoring seven goals 20 appearances.
However, the 22-year-old is also eligible to play for Nigeria through his parents and has decided to wear the colours of the Super Eagles.
In an interview with HLN, Ugbo admitted he dreams of playing for the three-time African champions at the 2022 World Cup.
He said: “The paperwork is not quite in order yet, but my agent is working on it.
“Playing a World Cup is every footballer’s dream, isn’t it?”
Ugbo is currently out on loan at Cercle Brugge, where he has scored 10 times in 16 matches in the Belgian top-flight this season.
